Fetal Fibronectin Test

Today Steve and I went to the doctor for our 26 week appointment. Here are the highlights:

Both girls are head down.
I'm not dilated and my cervix has good length.
And the big news....my fetal fibronectin test came back negative. This negative result means that the chances of going into pre-term labor are VERY slim (at least for the next 10-14 days). Here's some info about fetal fibronectin test if you're not familiar: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fetal-fibronectin/MY00128

We go back to the doctor on January 4th. At this next appointment we will have an ultrasound for growth and a more precise cervix length, and I will do the dreaded gestational diabetes test. I picked the orange flavor, not sure that was the best choice, but we shall see!

Merry Christmas, hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!

  2. I love mine! It is a graco...I recommend you get what kind of carseats you have and get a stroller that they fit into...Makes life so much easier. Please email me if you have any more questions! eaw00a@acu.edu. I might even have clothes I could pass down if you were interested! There are a few twin mom online that have sent me things and would love to repay the favor!

  3. Great appointment! Don't sweat the GD test. I chose the orange, too. It tastes like a flat Sunkist :) Keep up the good work!

  4. We have the Peg Perego Duette. We really love it, mainly because it has a steering wheel, allowing you to carry one baby (or talk on the phone) and push it with the other hand. My husband loves to push it for that reason! The seats that it comes with are great, too. You can fully recline both seats and they can both face forward, backward, or toward each other (which mine prefer!) The Peg Perego car seats will snap to the stroller (without the big seats on it) and they can face each other, too. The fact that they can see each other (even when they're tiny) seems to keep them more content. Please feel free to email me (kristiw@allcatclaims.com) with any questions! I love chit-chatting with other twin mommies! I could also send you pics of our stroller in use and folded up in the car if you're interested!
